How to Update Firmware or an Application Program
In the listing area, select the device where the firmware or application update is to be performed.
On the [Device Operation] menu, click [Update Firmware/App...].
The screen for firmware/application update appears.

This screen also appears when [Update Firmware/Application] in the operation area is clicked.
Click [Execute Immediately].
The following operations are performed:
Downloading the latest firmware or application program to the PC running this tool
Uploading the downloaded firmware or application program to a device
Firmware or application update may take a long time to complete.
If a firmware or application update is in progress, the device being updated cannot be used.
When [Administrator Settings] is clicked on the screen for firmware/application update, the Administrator Settings screen appears. The Administrator Settings screen allows you to choose one of the following options to be performed:
Both downloading the latest firmware or application program and uploading it to a device
Downloading the latest firmware or application program
Uploading the latest firmware or application program to a device
If a device is selected and if [Detailed Information] is clicked on the screen for firmware/application update, detailed information about the device is displayed.
If [Cancel Processing] is clicked during firmware or application update, the updating is cancelled. The cancellation may take a long time to complete.
Depending on the device, firmware or application update might not be performed. Contact your local dealer.
Using a Schedule for Firmware or Application Update
You can specify a time when firmware or application update is to be performed, and you can then register the task to be executed once a day.
In the listing area, select the device where the firmware or application update is to be performed.
On the [Device Operation] menu, click [Update Firmware/App...].
Click [Execute Schedule].
The "Windows Schedule Registration" dialog box appears.

Enter a schedule name, processing start date and time, user name, and password for the schedule.
For "User Name:" and "Password:", enter the user name and password of your Windows administrator account.
Click [OK].
The "Windows Schedule Registration Complete" dialog box appears.
To check the registered schedule, click [Open Task Scheduler].
When Windows Task Scheduler opens, check the registered task.
Click [Exit].
If this tool is running, the scheduled task is prevented from being executed. Before executing the task, close the tool.
If another task is being executed, the scheduled task is prevented from being executed as well. Specify a scheduled time so that it does not overlap with another task.
