Using Network Discovery to Add Devices
You can discover devices on the network so as to add them to the listing area.
On the [Device Operation] menu, hover the pointer over [Add to List], and then click [Discover Devices].
The screen for network discovery appears.

This screen also appears when [Discover Devices] in the operation area is clicked.
When discovering devices on the same local network as the PC where you are using the tool
Select [Local Net].
From the list box, select the IP address of the device being added to the listing area.
When specifying an IP address range for discovery
Select [IP Address Range].
Enter an IP address range for discovery to be added to the listing area.
The devices for which the IP addresses are within the search range specified in the listing area will be discovered. For more information about how to specify an IP address range for the listing area, see Specifying an IP Address Search Range for Discovery.
Enter the user name and password having administrator privileges for the devices to be added.
Click [OK].
The valid IP addresses that can be specified for the IP address range are IPv4 addresses only. No IPv6 address can be specified.
If an IP address range is specified to discover devices on the network, the discovery may take a long time to complete.
Specifying an IP Address Search Range for Discovery
This section describes the screen components used to specify a search range when using an IP address range for discovery.

Listing area
Specify an IP address search range for discovery. You can specify two or more search ranges.
[Add]
To add an IP address range to the listing area, specify the IP address search range in the "IP Address" field, and then click this button.
[Delete]
To delete an IP address range from the listing area, select the range, and then click this button.
[Select All]
Click this button to select all IP address ranges in the listing area.
[Export]
Click this button to export the IP address ranges in the listing area to a text file. When the button is clicked, a folder selection dialog box appears, from which you can select a folder to export.
[Import]
Click this button to import IP address ranges from a text file. The current list is overwritten. When the button is clicked, a file selection dialog box appears, from which you can select a file to import.
