Launching the Tool
Extract the tool file.
Double-click the Tool Launcher file in the generated folder.
If this tool version is not up-to-date, a link appears to allow you to download the latest version.
If this tool has been used to add a device to the listing area or to copy device information from another PC, a message asking whether to retrieve up-to-date firmware or application information appears.
For information about how to copy device information from a different PC, see Screen Configuration.
When launching this tool for the first time, the First startup setting appears to allow you to select whether to use data from a previous version.

When you do not want to use data from a previous version:
Select [Yes], and then click [OK].
The tool fresh-starts.
When you want to use data from a previous version:
Select [No], and then click [OK].
If you want to change the folder containing data from the older version, click [Browse].
If you do not want to change the folder containing data from the older version, proceed to step 4 without clicking [Browse].
Select the folder containing the older version, and then click [Select Folder].
Click [OK].
The tool starts, using data from the older version.

To launch this tool for the first time, open the Environment Settings screen. For more information about the Environment Settings, see Configuring the Operating Environment for the Tool.
To exit the tool, click [Exit] from the [File] menu, and then click the [X] button at the upper-right corner of the main screen. Before exiting the tool, be sure to check that no firmware or application update is in progress.
